Description:
 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent will be working under the direct supervision of the National Emergency Coordinator. He/she will work with reasonable independence by applying knowledge of UNDP rules and procedures. The incumbent would also take into consideration sensitivities relating to local social conditions, culture, language, traditions and institutions. The Team Leader will be responsible for his/her performance evaluation.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of the reports by the National Emergency Coordinator;

Assist in coordination of  appropriate actions with Federal and Provincial Governments as well as District Administrations to ensure appropriate utilization of UN assistance for assessment, monitoring, relief and rehabilitation activities;

Draft correspondence, special reports as required on general, administrative  and specialized tasks within assigned areas of responsibility;

Provide administrative assistance to the National Emergency Coordinator;

Maintain accounts and assist in the management of financial matters of the project;

Select and enter data from documents while verifying their accuracy by checking sources and ensuring the inclusion of all the data;

Prepare progress reports and presentations as and when required;

Prepare relevant briefing material;

Participate in relevant meetings and take minutes/notes; and

Perform any other task(s) assigned or as and when required by the supervisor.
