Description:
 

UNDP is implementing “Sustainable development through peace building, governance and economic recovery in NWFP” to contribute towards a long-term peace and development process.  The programme aims to: Support the sustainable return of IDPs through targeted early recovery activities; and Contribute towards diffusing and preventing local conflicts and gaining a better understating of  the structural causes of conflict through governance and peace building interventions.

The programme needs services of Information and Assessment Officer to manage the information requirement of the programme and the community restoration cluster, and provide support in assessments of damages and needs assessment.


TERMS OF REFERECE:

The Information and Assessment Officer will report to the Assistant Country Director, Crisis Prevention and Recovery Unit and perform the following tasks:

1. Establishment of  information management system for peace and development programme, and any other operational support required by the programme
2. Data and information collection, and reporting support for monitoring 
3. Coordination with OCHA, members of community restoration cluster, and PDMA/PaRRSA to collect and disseminate information
4. Management of one UN response website
5. Management of information on OCHA Online Project System  (OPS) and Financial Tracking System (FTS)
6. Facilitate assessments for community based infrastructure, off-farm livelihoods needs, and other data collection exercises, and managing and updating 3W Matirx
7. Ensures identification of information requirements to support coordination of early recovery activities and in support of early recovery decision making.
8. Ensures identification of data standards and key datasets pertinent to the early recovery process.

1. Functional information management system for Community Restoration Cluster
2. IMS for peace and development programme
3. Updated OPS and FTS
4. Assessment reports
5. Updated CR Cluster on One UN Response Site
6. Monthly Progress Reports
