Experience:

At least 3-6 years of relevant experience. Excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills. Familiarity with local languages and customs and tradition will be an advantage. He/She must have strong cross-cultural communication, problem-solving skills and results orientation and sensitivity to gender issues. Must have ability to work under pressure, solid computer skills in relevant software packages (MS office), and should be able to work in multi-cultural environment. The candidate must have good writing and speaking English

Description:
 

Bio Saline II aims at developing community driven sustainable farming systems for the rehabilitation of waterlogged and salt affected lands to improve livelihoods in three districts of Punjab namely Hafizabad, Jhang and Sargodha.
The Assistant Agriculturist will be reporting to the concerned In-charge of the Field Unit if they are placed in the Field Units. In case they are placed in the Soil Fertility Research Institute (SFRI). They will report to the Project Manager and Director (SFRI)

Duties and Responsibilities

He / she will be responsible for the following activities:
 Work as a team member along  with social organizer to identify technological gaps in the NRM sector with organized communities
 Assist in the formulation of NRM packages in the project area
 Prepare work plan in accordance with NRM plan for the Community Organizations Impart technical training as per the Project
 
·          Training Plan himself or with the support of resource person
·           Develop  linkages with line agencies for the improvement of NRM sector in the area
·          Monitor and report the ongoing activities related to NRM on periodic basis
·          Prepare daily and monthly reports on visit to the field
·           Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual work pans

Any other assignment given  by the Project Management
