Minimum of eight (8) years working experience in implementation of development projects at regional and community levels including relevant experience in multi-sectoral, area-based development programmes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, report writing and computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Fluency in English and knowledge of local languages.


Directly reporting to the Director General, Special Development Unit, Planning and Development Department Government of NWFP and Secretary Implementation, Planning and Development Department, Government of Balochistan, and working under the overall guidance of the Project Coordinator based in Islamabad, the key responsibilities of the Provincial Programme Managers include:

• Prepare annual and periodic provincial work plans for the projects
• Responsible for the overall provincial results and performance of the RAHA project according to an agreed work plan for the respective province. Provide technical backstopping to all programme components and ensure that activities are on track and in accordance with the Annual Work Plan.
• The Provincial Programme Managers will work in close collaboration with concerned officials and partners at the national, provincial and local levels to plan and implement the project. The field managers will be expected to provide strategic coordination support to all partners (Participating UN agencies, provincial governments of NWFP and Balochistan, Provincial CARs, as well as partner NGOs) through information provision, meetings as appropriate.
• Provide support to the Provincial Task Force in their respective province, headed by the Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Development departments and consist of representatives from the relevant provincial line departments, provincial CAR, DCOs of implementing districts, UN participating agencies as well as civil society. 
• Keep track and maintain accounts of project funds in line with the relevant guidelines of UNDP/PCOM.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the PC, Provincial Project Directors (of the Provincial Governments) regarding status of implementation of project activities.
• Organize, facilitate and coordinate meetings as necessary.
• The Provincial Managers will be required to carry out regular monitoring of the projects to ensure that the programme is achieving the required targets.
• Assign responsibilities and deliverables to project staff in consultation with the NPC and Provincial PDs and continue to monitor their progress to ensure that planned activities are successfully completed.
