Minimum 3 years experience of the development sector including work relating to professional bodies, association or related forums. Possess leadership and problem-solving skills and sensitivity to gender issues; Strong knowledge of governance issues in Pakistan, particularly pertaining to the current devolution process in particular; Should have a strong commitment to community participation and empowerment.


Devolution Trust for Community Empowerment (DTCE) is a registered entity, which aims at creating an enabling environment for citizen participation and community empowerment in Pakistan. Duties and Responsibilities
The Officer Press Clubs shall work under the immediate supervision of National Manager Press & Bar and coordinate closely with the Project Management Unit for implementation of programme activities.
He/She will be responsible to undertake the following tasks:
1.     To participate in program designing, revisions or updation with regard to Press Component, such as Capacity Building of Press Committees; activation and facilitation to Press Clubs, and compilation of their reports;
2.      To coordinate with local press clubs and Press Committees regarding program implementation and follow-up on implementation issues;
3.      To ensure projection and dissemination of DTCE’s programming initiatives in the local press, periodicals and journals, and coordinate with DTCE field teams to obtain necessary dissemination material and information on field based activities;
4.     To work and communicate awareness raising activities; the subject of citizen engagement for dissemination by local press clubs;
5.     To ensure that Press Clubs coordinates with local Bar Associations, for pursuance advocacy, investigative journalism and participants in the Round Table Meetings organized by Bar Associations;
6.     Undertake any other activity related to the implementation of press component;
