Background:
Devolution Trust for Community Empowerment (DTCE) is a registered entity, which aims at creating an enabling environment for citizen participation and community empowerment in Pakistan. DTCE has been funded by a consortium of donors under the umbrella of UNDP Support NEX Project “Support to DTCE”. Details can be found at www.dtce.org.pk
 
Duties and Responsibilities
Social Organizers are an integral part of the DTCE Field Operations Team. They work under the overall supervision of the Manager Field Operations with the responsibility to assist him/her in the implementation of DTCE’s community empowerment programme in the field. In this capacity, the Social Organizer has to take multifaceted programming activates, which includes: 
 
1.    Participate in the work planning exercises and provide inputs in the formulation of monthly, quarterly and yearly work plans for field operations and support the execution of work plans;
 
2.    Undertake reconnaissance visits of the districts along with other team members and identify key stakeholders and partners for programme execution including local civil society organizations;
 
3.    Undertake awareness and advocacy campaign, mobilize democratically elected local leadership and sign MoU at the Union Council level;
 
4.    Follow up on the respective Union Councils for MoU compliance and production of agreed deliverables, as well as prepare cases for release of DTCE institutional support after receiving of deliverables;
 
5.    Assist the Manager Field Operation in monitoring of all on-going program’s promotional, capacity building and IME initiatives, signing of MoUs with partners at District and Tehsil level, and preparation and review of the annual and quarterly work plans with partner Districts and Tehsils;
 
6.   Support the Manager Field Operation in the collection of deliverables and release of institutional support to districts tehsils and unions;
 
7.   Collect and consolidate monthly, quarterly and annual progress from all partners and assist the Manger in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports;
 
8.    Keep track of soft record and hard copies of record up to date, coordinate with PMU, IME Department and other functional teams of DTCE as per guidance of the Manager Field Operations Team;
 
9.    Undertake any other responsibility assigned by the Manager Field Operation as and when required.
