Bachelor’s degree preferably in the field of finance.
Demonstrated computer skills for data processing (ability to use MS-Excel, MS-Work and MS-Power Point).
4-5 years experience in co-ordination of work and a good knowledge of standard practices and procedures.
Good written and spoken English.
Ability to handle accounts.
Experience with a UN agency/ project will be preferred.


The Gender Support Programme is a UNDP and donor-funded programme. It aims at strengthening national capacity to address gender issues and gender disparities in Pakistani society, based on themes such as Social, Political, and Economic empowerment of women and institutional capacity building. The goal of the Gender Support Programme is to eradicate poverty in Pakistan through gender-responsive governance and a rights-based approach to sustainable human development. The Gender Support Program assists in policy analysis, coordination, implementation and monitoring, capacity development, research and documentation and awareness-raising.  The formulation of policy concept notes and designing training modules for respective line ministries will be considered as key activities.
Duties  and Responsibilities:
The Operations Assistant will undertake the following duties:
• Assists in arranging meetings internal and external.
• Makes travel arrangements for GSP/PMSU programme staff and assists in processing the travel claims.
• Assists in maintaining financial records for programme or other office accounts for which responsibility is assigned.
• Assists in calculating and compiling costs estimates and projected budget requirements and preparation of budget statements.
• Assists in preparation of payments requests/travel claims with the supporting documentation and liaison with UNDP for payments follow-ups.
• Sends faxes, distributes the incoming faxes and maintains the fax register on agreed procedures.
• Assists programme team members to photocopy documents, prepare sets of reports, binding and stapling.
• Maintains leave records of the staff members.
• Assists in inviting quotations and making comparison statements for various offices needed procurements.
• Assists in downloading the requested information from Internet.
• Assists to prepare Power Point presentations; layouts and encoding of documents.
• Acts as leave monitor for programme's staff members.
• Maintains a proper filing system/inventory for the programme.
• Maintain a list of addresses/phone numbers of counterparts and relevant GOP/Private Organisation's officials.
• Oversee the work of Office Assistant/Driver/Cleaner and Gardner.
• Performs any other duties as required.
