1. Background
The project focuses on providing expertise and technical support to the Government of Pakistan in their development of policy and programs regarding Law Enforcement and Crime Prevention.
2. Reporting

The Administrative and Finance Assistant will report to the Law Enforcement & Crime Prevention Adviser.
3. Duties and Responsibilities
The Administrative and Finance Assistant will provide critical support services to the Law Enforcement & Crime Prevention section for the implementation of project activities. In this regard s/he will undertake the following tasks.
• Provide overall administrative support to the law enforcement & crime prevention section;
• Maintain central filing system for the section specifically regarding documentation of project activities, correspondence and contact details of partners;
• Assist in organizing and holding workshops /seminars and other meetings as appropriate;
• Organize or assist with logistical arrangements; e.g. travel arrangements, procurement, recruitments, attendance of staff, etc;
• Take minutes of meetings and write meeting reports; Initiate timely reminders
• Make arrangements for provision of basic necessities in the office in order to ensure it proper functioning;
• Respond to telephonic enquiries for the section
• Perform any other admin and finance related tasks that on as needed basis;

4. Competencies

• Financial Management skills, including budget making, financial track keeping and maintenance of receipts, etc;
• Excellent skills in MS Excel with ability to develop and maintain budgets;
• Prior experience in using MS Project an advantage;
• Record keeping skills;
• Knowledge of and skills in logistics management, e.g. travel, workshop organization, communications, purchase of equipment etc;
• Good interpersonal communication skills;
• Positive attitude with a mind set of delivering services in a most professional manner;
