Description (Duties and Responsibilities)

Planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the project in correspondence with the activities envisaged in PC-I of Tobacco Control program.
Managing  programme activities, and reporting as and when required
Capacity development of public sector by providing needed technical assistance, training, communication, and other support i.e. designing, implementing and evaluating action plans, making program evidence-based.
Assisting the government in formulation of  tobacco control  policies
Initiating desired changes in the legislation, in collaboration with the stakeholders, to bring it in conformity with FCTC.
Building partnership with other stake holders to launch an effective tobacco control program.
Preparation of a National work plan along with other Bloomberg partners.
Organize advocacy interventions to bring tobacco control on the priority agenda of the government.
Organize and implement a program to observe World No Tobacco Day event effectively.
Assist in enhanced media coverage for the program
Reporting progress on monthly basis or as required in liaison with the NPO Bloomberg, WHO.
Resource mobilization for the program
Devising impact indicators for the program.
Perform other duties as required by the DG (Implementation) and theWHO Representative

Must Degree Degree Level Country Description
YesMBBS / MA in Social sciencesMasters DegreeA degree in Public Health with a concentration on health programme planning, management and evaluation will be preferred

Must Title Level Description
YesSkills Excellent  Advanced knowledge, direct experience and established ability in capacity building, programme planning, implementation, monitoring/evaluation, and grant management with at least 5 years of overall experience in public health with focus on tobacco control; Experience in working with Government and other partners, capacity building, building alliances, making programs evidence based and for providing effective leadership; Basic computer skills including ability to utilize the standard Microsoft Office programmes.
