UNDP has prepared an Early Recovery Framework (ERF) in accordance with the strategy established by the UN in November 2005. The ERF incorporates and builds upon the project submitted in the South Asia Earthquake Flash Appeal, and is designed to meet the needs identified by the Early Recovery Framework and Action Plan. Community Based Livelihoods Recovery Programme for earthquake affected areas of NWFP and AJK is a component of the ERF. The project aims to support immediate and mid-term livelihood recovery of the vulnerable populations in the earthquake affected areas in AJK and NWFP, directly supporting the ERF.
