Minimum 3 years experience in development of application software, database systems and website development, preferably in Microsoft Visual Studio.Net i.e. ASP.Net, VB.Net, SQL Server 2000 and XML Web Services in Microsoft Windows 2000 Network platform.
Conceptual understanding of underlying principles of relational database management systems.
Expertise in software development in web based applications and client server environment using contemporary software development model i.e., evolutionary, prototype, spiral etc.
Practical/on-job experience relating to LAN/WAN management and database administration in Microsoft SQL Server would be an added advantage.
Result oriented professional having ability to work in team environment.
Fluency in English (both oral and written).


Duties and Responsibilities:

The IT Assistant will assist IT Specialist in implementing all IT activities of the project. This includes:
Develop application software for ECP management information systems. The web based application software will be developed using   Microsoft Visual Studio.Net i.e. ASP.Net, VB.Net, SQL Server 2000 and XML Web Services on Microsoft Windows 2000 Network platform. 
Build software prototype for proof of concept and to crystallize user requirement and solicit user feedback for detailed system design.
Application software code generation for major modules like data maintenance, standard and parameterized queries, reports production and management information systems.
Preparation of test data and assist software testing on test data and live data.
Training of concerned staff for smooth implementation and operationalization of application software systems in ECP network environment.
System documentation of including system reference document and user/operation manuals.
Refinement, enhancement and updating of ECP website and its connection to databases.
Maintenance and troubleshooting application software systems and ECP computer networks.

Supervision: The IT Assistant will work with and report to the National Project Manager through IT Specialist.
Duty Station: Islamabad with travel to other regions as necessary.
