Description:
 

Description of Responsibilities:

Perform 2nd level desktop troubleshooting in conjunction with the Help Desk
Provide IT support to UN Houses which is comprised of UNDP, UNFPA, UNDSS, UNAIDS, UNV, IRIN and RC Office.
Maintain the Network and Internet.
Manage technical equipment inventory and order new when needed
Troubleshoot printer, mail, network and telephone problems
Administer backup of server
Contact vendor for IT Secondary support
Facilitate IT Associate at different hubs.
Any other tasks assigned by IT Associate

Provide effective IT assistance with respect to network, software and hardware such as installation, operation, maintenance, and service delivery etc.

Communications – Good communications (spoken and written) skills, including the ability to explain and present technical information; effectively train/advise users on information technology issues; prepare written documentation in a clear and concise style.

Technical Awareness – Good technical knowledge of hardware and software of information technology infrastructure, servers, workstations, desktop PCs, and peripherals; ability to undertake system programming using widely used programming languages.

Planning & Organization – Ability to plan own work, to work effectively under stress and to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
