Administrative and Finance Assistant

Centre for Research on Poverty Reduction and Income Distribution (CRPRID)

 

The Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Development Facility (PAF) is a project funded by UNDP which started its operation from January 2002 for 5 years.  The main component of the project is to support the Centre for Research on Poverty Reduction and Income Distribution (CRPRID) established in the Planning Commission of the Government of Pakistan as an independent research institution.

 

The Administrative and Finance Assistant will work under the direct supervision of Director and Project Coordinator of the Project.  His/her responsibilities and required qualifications are as follows:

Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain the project account and petty cash accounts in accordance with UNDP/UNOPS financial rules
  • Maintain and update all ledgers as required in under UNDP/UNOPS financial rules
  • Maintain and update project equipment inventories
  • Assist in the procurement of office equipment and its set up
  • Provide support services to all other staff members in administrative and financial matters including arranging appointments, meetings, visitors, calls and travel
  • Receive and screen all in-coming correspondence; logs and routes the same, maintain policy, confidential, financial, personnel, and general files in a manner allowing rapid retrieval.  Maintain electronic files in order as well. 
  • Maintain and update project personnel records including attendance, leave records etc.
  • Assist in general correspondence and coordination with UNDP and GoP

Any other tasks assigned by the project management

YesMiscellaneous Excellent  Proficiency in the use of computers and all software related to office work including word processing, spreadsheet and database and fluency in English including good writing skill Excellent time and office management skills as well as interpersonal skills to work with a variety of people Prior knowledge of UNDP/UNOPS financial rules, Project Cycle Operations Manual will be added qualification.
