Description:
 

1. Background
 
Information About Project
The project focuses on providing expertise and technical support to the Government of Pakistan in their development of policy and programs against organized crime in its various forms including the trafficking of illicit drugs. The project includes the supervision of and provision of guidance for ongoing law enforcement projects and the development of new projects.
 
 
2. Reporting

The Administrative and Finance Assistant will report to the Law Enforcement & Crime Prevention Adviser.
 

3. Duties and Responsibilities
 
The Administrative and Finance Assistant will provide critical support services to the Law Enforcement & Crime Prevention Adviser for the implementation of project activities. In this regard s/he will undertake the following tasks.
 
• Provide overall administrative support to the law enforcement & crime prevention section;
• Maintain documentation of project activities, correspondence and contact details of partners;
• Maintain a MS Project supported project management system with details of project activities and submit monthly reports to the Law Enforcement & Crime Prevention Adviser;
• Assist in organizing and holding workshops /seminars and other meetings as appropriate;
• Organize or assist with logistical arrangements; e.g. travel arrangements, procurement, maintaining/updating records pertaining to appointments, leave accounts, attendance of staff, etc;
• Take minutes of meetings and write meeting reports;
• Make arrangements for provision of basic necessities in the office in order to ensure it proper functioning;
• On behalf of the Law Enforcement & Crime Prevention Adviser, interact with relevant stakeholders to further project objectives;
• Perform any other admin and finance related tasks that may not have been foreseen in this job description and might be assigned by the Law Enforcement & Crime Prevention Adviser on as needed basis;

 
4. Competencies

• Financial Management skills, including budget making, financial track keeping and maintenance of receipts, etc;
• Excellent skills in MS Excel with ability to develop and maintain budgets;
• Excellent skills in MS Project;
• Record keeping skills;
• Knowledge of and skills in logistics management, e.g. travel, workshop organization, communications, purchase of equipment etc;
• Good interpersonal communication skills;
• Positive attitude with a mind set of delivering services in a most professional manner;
