• Be Pakistani national;
• Minimum qualification requirement is Intermediate;
• At least 4 years experience in a TV channel, studio or video production house having skills to edit footage (telecast quality) and has been involved in the production of any of the video product like documentary, drama, stage show or talk show etc.
• S/he should be able to work on non-linear editing system preferably on an Apple/Macintosh systems.
• S/he should be able to edit software and Photoshop.
• Possess problem-solving skills and sensitivity to gender issues;
• Have a strong commitment to community participation and empowerment;
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously with people from different cultures/backgrounds.


Devolution Trust for Community Empowerment (DTCE) is a registered entity, which aims at creating an enabling environment for citizen participation and community empowerment in Pakistan. DTCE has been funded by a consortium of donors under the umbrella of UNDP Support NEX Project “Support to DTCE”. Details can be found at www.dtce.org.pk
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistic/ Media Assistant shall work under the immediate supervision of Director Media Relations and coordinate closely with the Project Management Unit for implementation of programme activities. He/She would perform the following activities:
1.         Electronic/ Video Coverage and Editing:
1.1              Conduct non-linear editing of the footage to produce a documentary, drama, talk-shows;
1.2              Convert documentaries into appropriate software for placing them on the website;
1.3              Package electronic press releases and digitally transferring them to different TV channels.
1.4              Maintain the online/digital archive of footage.
2.         Communication Planning: Assist his/her supervisor in the development and implementation of the communication strategy and annual work plan.

3.         Public Affairs: Assist in organizing and coordinating press conferences, press launches, field visits, interviews, and media briefings. Manage media campaigns and events related to all relevant DTCE activities. Prepare press kits for staff and media.

4.         Public Information: Draft, edit and update DTCE public information materials. Responsible for timely issuance of DTCE press releases and for the production and update of brochures, booklets and reports aimed at ensuring the visibility of UNDP and its projects. Ensure that public information material released by the Office and the projects are in line with DTCE style, branding and other standards.

5.         Publications: Responsible for producing fact sheets, updates and briefing material. Ensure that publications released by the Office are in line with DTCE style, branding and other standards. Maintains a system of classification and record for incoming UNDP publications.

6.         Relations with the Media: Establish and maintain contacts with print and electronic media nationally, particularly with those covering DTCE activities.

7.         Outreach: Assist in developing and implementing activities and programmes to promote public awareness/knowledge of and access to DTCE services, information and materials.

8.         Media Monitoring: Daily review and record media coverage of DTCE and circulate to relevant authorities. Coordinate with media monitoring firm to ensure timely receipt of coverage report.
Language Requirement
The candidate must possess excellent communication skills in English, Urdu and working knowledge of local language.
