Under the overall guidance of the UNODC Country Representative Pakistan and direct supervision of National Programme Officer, Drugs & HIV/AIDS, the Project Officer will ensure timely delivery of the project outputs.
More specifically, the incumbents will:
Liaise with the Project National Focal Point, Senior Joint Secretary, Ministry of Narcotics Control and ANF;
Develop in consultation with the National Learning Centre, a training plan for the country on a variety of thematic areas related to drugs and HIV;
Maintain a roster of thematic experts to undertake a variety of project activities including M&E, training, costing and developing procurement guidelines at the country level;
Coordinate and organize national meetings and training programmes necessary for implementation of the activities under the project;
Liaise and follow up with UNAIDS and WHO on implementation of project activities as per the agreed joint workplan;
Prepare monthly, semi-annual, annual project progress reports at the country level. This should include inputs from WHO and UNAIDS;
Liaise with the mentor and partner agencies and the National Learning Centres (NLC) to document the key learning from the interventions being implemented in the country;
Coordinate the missions of the consultants and experts;
Undertake field missions as appropriate;
Fulfill any other duties as assigned by the National Programme Officer on Drugs & HIV/AIDS.
