Over three years experience in technical assistance project implementation and or monitoring with an international development agency;
Strong drafting, organizational and interpersonal skills
Good IT skills, including familiarity with MS office.
Knowledge of UN practices and procedures an advantage.
Experience of delivering training an advantage

Description:
 

Under the overall supervision of the Project Officer assist in the timely delivery of the project inputs as outlined in the project documents in line with UN rules and regulations.

More specifically, the incumbent will:

For the Computer Based Law Enforcement Training  Project

Familiarize himself/herself with UNODC Computer Based Training (CBT) project and developing a comprehensive appreciation of the conditions and inputs required for successful implementation of the project.

Support the Project Officer in coordinating UNODC inputs including sourcing material inputs for the production of a CBT course, facilitate installation in training centres in Pakistan, organize provision of equipment to agencies.

For the Container Control Pilot Programme 

Familiarize himself/herself with the UNODC Global Container Control Programme and developing a comprehensive appreciation of the conditions and inputs required for successful implementation of the project.

Assist the Project Officer in undertaking needs assessments to identify training and equipment requirements. 

Develop cooperation with trade and shipping communities to facilitate on-line access by control units to relevant shipping documents and, where possible, the sharing of manpower resources and specialist equipment.

  General  

Assist in ensuring full understanding on the part of counterpart law enforcement agencies in Pakistan of the projects objectives and strategy and of counterpart obligations and inputs.

Assist the Project Officer in ensuring timely delivery of all UNODC project inputs and coordinate counterpart agencies’ inputs to ensure project implementation proceeds as planned.

Assist the Project Officer in preparing regular and timely progress reports on all project activities including project expenditure.

Assist the Project Officer in making preparations for mid-term review and for project evaluation.

Provide administrative, financial, accounting and reporting services, including administrative arrangements for project travel, meetings and training events, and the procurement of equipment in accordance with UN rules and regulations.

Perform such other duties as may be required.
 
Deputise for Project Officer as required.
