The Gender Justice and Protection Project aims is “to bring about a sustainable reduction in violence against women in accordance with the government’s policy commitments”, with an objective “to create and support mechanism to support a sustainable reduction in Violence Against Women (VAW) in Pakistan”.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Institutional Development Specialist will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Design capacity-building interventions focused on various stakeholders applying for the GJP funding.
• Development of materials for capacity building, including orientation packages.
• Organize regular consultative forums and meetings of stakeholders towards determining strategic interventions in support of National Strategic Framework for Family Protection and information-sharing modalities.
• Set in motion, coordinate and support systems, processes and networks for strengthening public-private partnerships to address violence against women.
• Identify expert inputs to review government systems and procedures and make recommendations where appropriate to embed good practices.
• Build capacity of project stakeholders to effectively represent violence against women issues on relevant forums.
• Guide and coordinate the review of the project log frame through out the project cycle including:
• Provide technical advice for the revision of performance indicators
• Ensure realistic intermediate and end-of-project targets are defined
• Conduct a baseline study (situation at project start)
• Ensure all critical risks are identified
• Identify sources of data, collection methods, who collects data, how often, cost collection and who analyzes it.
• Strengthen government agencies and CSOs to fulfill their role of catalysts in addressing violence against women, more effectively, and to ensure budgetary allocation for action in support of elimination of VAW
• Overall contribution to M and E, specifically on monitoring the impact of capacity building initiatives.
• Screen the funding proposals received from different stakeholders specifically with focus on institutional development and capacity building perspective.
• Will act as the Deputy Project Manager and will ensure that the implementation of the project is on track and will facilitate its implementation whenever required.
• Perform any other duties as required.
The IDS Expert will report to National Project Manager.
