The incumbent should have a post-graduate degree in any of the social sciences or other relevant field from a reputable university and minimum 10 years working experience with sustainable development and urban development projects of the government, international organizations and/or NGOs. Proven management skills, experience in development project budgets, financial reporting and experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams as well as excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability in report writing in English and Urdu are required. The City Manager will be reporting to the Provincial Project Manager in provincial headquarters. He will be responsible for the daily running of the project office. S/he will plan, implement and evaluate project activities. S/he will perform the following functions: Ensure the overall quality of the development work undertaken by the project in each city. Coordinate and supervise the work of the project at city office and represent the project in all formal meetings. Prepare, implement and follow up project work plans, including annualized targets, indicators for monitoring progress and data collection procedures. Direct and oversee all technical, financial and progress report on monthly, quarterly and annual basis to be reported to Provincial Programme Manager. Interact with donors and mobilize local funds. Arrange high-level workshops/symposia and policy dialogues. Arrange and monitor study-tours, evaluation missions and special studies to be conducted under the project. Review reports submitted by the consultants and integrate the findings in the programme activities. Oversee project procurement of equipment and vehicles, and ensure their proper maintenance, project inventory and logbooks. Personnel management. Follow-up the programs advocacy strategy. Ensure timely delivery of inputs and outputs in accordance with UNDP rules and regulations Impart training program, on the basis of careful assessments of training needs and demands among the project staff and stakeholders. Develop and implement participator monitoring and evaluation mechanisms for the project.
