The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years experience in community based poverty reduction programmes, implementation and monitoring.

S/he must have solid computer skills in relevant software packages (MS office), ability to work in multi-cultural environment, problem-solving skills and results orientation and sensitivity to gender issues.

Description:

Working under the direct supervision of National Project Director (NPD), the Provincial Project Manager would perform the following duties

Scope of Work:

Assist the NPD in overall management of the project, financial monitoring and reporting of the project, supervision of project staff, consultants, and ensuring proper use of project resources and equipment.

Ensure timely delivery of inputs in accordance with UNDP rules and regulations.

Supervise staff and consultants to adhere to financial disbursements and control procedures.

Prepare technical and financial reports and terminal reports to be submitted to the Government, UNDP and the Project Steering Committee.

Advise the NPD on project management issues as necessary.

Assist National Program Director in preparation of project work plan, including annualized targets, indicators for monitoring progress and data collection procedures.

Ensure close linkages and interaction between the UNDP, project staff and other implementing partners

Conduct resource and constraint analysis and develop strategic plans accordingly.

Any other tasks assigned by the NPD/Management.
