Experience:

At least 5 years collective experience in HR administration and management;
Possess leadership and problem-solving skills and sensitivity to gender issues;
Strong knowledge of governance issues in Pakistan, particularly pertaining to the current national reconstruction process in general and devolution in particular;
Have a strong commitment to community participation and empowerment;
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously with people from different cultures/backgrounds.

Description:
 


The Sr. Human Resource Assistant assures implementation of UNDP HR policies relating to the effective use of human resources (HR) within DTCE. Under the overall supervision of the National Project Director/National Project Manager and with close coordination with Administrative Officer, the Sr. HR Assistant would be responsible for the following activities:

As a Sr. HR Assistant the candidate must have a clear understanding of organisation's objectives and be able to support and implement UNDP HR policies;
Work closely with other departments, assisting staff to understand and implement HR policies and procedures;
 
Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation;
Liaising with a wide range of organisation’s involved in areas such as gender sensitivity,  disability, health, insurance and safety;
 
Developing job descriptions, prepare advertisements, checking application, initiate shortlisting process, arrange interviews and process minutes;
 
Facilitate preparation of performance appraisal forms, coordinate with Administrative Officer on disciplinary procedures and leave management;
 
Develop, update and maintain the file management system and other related documents
Resolve day to day HR issues of staff in consultation with National Project Manger and Administrative Officer;

Manage leave monitoring system, leave records, daily attendance sheets;

Prepare and publish vacancy advertisement in the newspapers;

Update all personnel files accordingly and maintain staff contracts extension sheet;

Coordinate with UNDP HR Department for follow-up of staff contracts/extensions;

Planning and delivering induction training for new staff on need basis;
 
Any other duties as requested by the management.
