RAHA is a joint programme between the Government of Pakistan, the UN System, international donors and other implementing partners. This programme will support the Government of Pakistan’s efforts to bring the poor communities in Balochistan into the mainstream of development by improving access to, and reducing existing inequalities in resources, incomes and livelihood opportunities. The programme will cover 103 Union Councils in 12 districts in Baluchistan.

Experience & Skills:

      Master’s degree in communication or relevant field with at least 8years’ experience in the development or private sector.

  • Demonstrated good computer skills (proficiency in using MS-Office and MS-Power Point use of social media).
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Command on local languages will be an added advantage.

Job Description:

The Behavior Change Communication Officer will support the PMU FATA by undertaking the following main activities:

The Behavior Change Communication Coordinator will provide the RAHA Programme a comprehensive strategy and Campaign for Behavior Change Communication, IEC material and dissemination of information to the donors, partners, government and communities. She/He will focus those negative behaviors which are hurdles in women participation, social change, self-reliance, exiting resource mobilization and community empowerment. The BCC Coordinator will report to the Provincial Programme Manager (PPM).

  • The Behavior Change Communication Coordinator will support the PMU by undertaking the following main activities.
  • Develop BCC Strategy and audience research for social change focusing the venerable segments of population and local communities in general, targeting their particular behaviors for a positive desired change.
  • Train the community CO members in effective communication. Develop particular BCC camping to target Religious / Community Leaders, Journalist, Teachers focusing women and children to ensure their participation for community development and gender equality.
  • Designed and implement BCC work plan for communities / using print and electronic media.
  • Manage the Programme’s media related activities, including organizing meetings with media representatives, editors, senior columnists, owners of media channels/newspapers and with other stakeholders.
  • To organize media events such as: press conferences, interviews of key Programme staff and stakeholders on public & private channels of TV & radio, newspapers, magazines, and journals, etc.
  • Supervise the development of publications – IEC material, Radio and TV documentaries / programmes, Radios Commercials and TVCs. 
  • Ensure that regular publications (case studies, Programme updates, newsletters, etc.) are printed, and updated (in case of website) in a timely and consistent manner.
  • To maintain regular liaison with all Partner organization in order to identify communication needs; provide necessary support training accordingly.
  • Assist in the documentation of project case studies, lessons learnt, advocacy campaigns and project reporting. 
  • Perform any other duties as required by the Provincial Programme Manager (PPM) for achieving above objectives.
