Description:
 

Responsibilities: The IDC would coordinate preparation and approval of all infrastructure schemes to be executed under RAHA (RAHA) and periodically supervise and monitor them. He would provide technical advice to the team on an ongoing basis and produce necessary progress reports for the M&E function The Engineer will provide technical services in the form of technical surveys for Community Physical Infrastructure Projects. Preparation of projects proposal documents for submission to UNDP Provision of technical support and guidance to Community Organizations in project work layouts and implementation. Support to project committees in preparation of the format for bills/vouchers/records. Report progress to the PM/RM and contribute to monthly reporting Be responsible for monitoring the construction quality to verify that work is completed as per specification and relevant codes of practice, ensuring that all materials and equipments related to the project meet the required standards and specifications. Coordinate and keep a proper data base of material testing results. Bring to the attention of the PM any aspect of the projects which are not meeting timelines or where quality standards are not being met and provide solutions to improve the quality of work. Ensure a transparent and detailed monitoring system on progress of the construction activities. Be responsible for maintaining full contract records for the construction site; Assist the PM in verifying payment requests against bills of quantities and agreed variations. Ensure that the contractors are not pouring concrete without written approval and that they proceed with each new critical step implementation based on issued Notice to Proceed only. Collect and securely store samples from each delivery of concrete to site and oversee 7-day and 28-day testing of same to establish quality. Report on test results and take action accordingly.
