Experience:

Masters degree in management, public administration or humanities with documented experience of handling such Projects.
Knowledge of UN system operating procedures and ability to work in multi-cultural environment.
Possess good managerial skills and ability to handle project
At least four years experience of working with multi-national organizations
Excellent English/ Urdu writing and communication skills.
Knowledge of finance/ experience in developing project budgets and financial reports
Demonstrably computer literate. Should be familiar with Internet.
Good interpersonal skills with experience and familiarity of the gender issues.

Description:
 

Operational Management of the production of project outputs according to the project document and the procedures of the Project Cycle Operational Manual.

Selection, recruitment and supervision of the project administrative staff, in consultation with National Project Director.

Initiation of mobilization of all project inputs not covered by implementing agency letters of agreement in accordance with the relevant procedures in the Project Cycle Operation Manual; authorization of budgets and expenditures for these inputs

Preparation and revision of the project workplans, budgets and financial workplans

Organization and management of the project activities according to the workplan in order to produce the outputs

Coordination and liaison with concerned Government Ministries, partner NGOs, private sector, and donor agencies for ensuring effective implementation of project activities

Coordination and supervision of project technical personnel, sub-contracts and project staff

In close coordination with UNDP, the Programme Manager will explore the potential for resource mobilization and capitalize on such opportunities for the objectives of the project

Manage specific activities for the promotion of Project objectives, such as holding seminars and exploring skill development opportunities.

Timely preparation and submission of the Quarterly Progress Reports, Annual Project Report and other related reports as required

Identification and resolution of implementation problems with the assistance of NPD/UNDP if necessary
