The Ministry of Women Development initiated the “Women Political School” project in October 2004. The aim of the project is to deliver a holistic and integrated capacity development programme for women councilors, provide adequate and reliable support networks and systems for women participating in political processes and to build the institutional capacities of relevant training institutions, government departments and the civil society. The project will focus equally on all four provinces namely the North West Frontier Province (NWFP), Balochistan, Sindh and Punjab, as well as the Federally Administered Tribal and Northern Areas (FATA & FANA). UNDP & the Royal Norwegian government are strategic partners for this project.
The WPS project requires the following professional services to be performed by the selected person:
Prepare and maintain all financial records
Prepare project budgets and maintain financial disbursement and monitoring systems
Act as focal point for audit.
Prepare & maintain the ledger for monitoring financial commitments, monthly financial statements and non-expendable property ledger
Prepare contracts for resource persons/short-term experts
Make travel arrangements for project staff and assist in processing the travel claims
Responsible for administrative and logistical arrangements of meetings and workshops
Maintain and keep record of a proper filing system on administrative & financial issues for the project.
Participate in programme matters i.e. preparation of work plan / progress reports / meeting & workshops reports
